Police reports for Eastlake include five burglaries, one car theft

Among the Eastlake incidents reported to police in the last two weeks were five burglaries and one car theft:

  • May 2: Mischief, 2200 block of Eastlake Ave. E., 10:30 a.m.
  • May 2: Trespass, 1500 block of Eastlake Ave. E., 2:23 p.m.
  • May 3: Disturbance, 2900 block of Fairview Ave. E., 12:02 a.m.
  • May 3: Burglary, residential, occupied, 2800 block of Harvard Ave. E., 4:13 a.m.
  • May 3: Mischief, 1800 block of Fairview Ave. E., 8:06 a.m.
  • May 3: Car prowl, 3200 block of Fairview Ave. E., 9:58 a.m.
  • May 4: Mischief, 1800 block of Eastlake Ave. E., 9:31 a.m.
  • May 4: Burglary, unoccupied structure on residential property, 1500 block of Eastlake Ave. E., 4:39 p.m.
  • May 5: Noise disturbance, 2000 block of Franklin Ave. E., 12:09 a.m.
  • May 5: Noise disturbance, 2000 block of Boylston Ave. E., 12:20 a.m.
  • May 5: Vehicle theft, Eastlake E. and E. Lynn, 12:34 a.m.
  • May 5: Burglary, unoccupied structure on residential property, 2900 block of Eastlake Ave. E., 12:57 a.m.
  • May 5: Burglary, commercial, 2800 block of Eastlake Ave. E., 5:13 p.m.
  • May 6: Accident investigation, Eastlake E. and E. Newton, 11:54 a.m.
  • May 8: Burglary, not forced, residential, 2000 block of Minor Ave. E., 5:10 p.m. – A resident of a condo thought he heard his wife enter the downstairs door of the unit. When he went to check, he found that the wife was not there, the door was closed and his car keys were missing from a post by the door. He looked for a suspect outside but found no one. Returning to the condo, he found a second set of house keys were missing. The missing keys included car keys and keys to the condo building. A responding police officer checked for prints but found none. A vehicle was spotted that residents said was not regularly seen in the area.
  • May 11: Casualty (person down), 2300 block of Yale Ave. E., 12:15 p.m.
  • May 11: Accident investigation, E. Roanoke and Franklin Ave. E., 9:05 p.m.
  • May 12: Noise disturbance, 2500 block of Yale Ave. E., 11:37 p.m.
  • May 12: Property found, 2500 block of Fairview Ave. E., 11:39 p.m.
  • May 14: Dumpster fire, 1900 block of Franklin Ave. E., 2:04 a.m.

    Does anyone have any idea what a police report of “mischief” entails? Is it like putting mustaches on the fish tiles at Lynn Street Park or something more serious?
