Eastlake dining out notes: Cocktail Week, Halloween, liquor at Romio’s

Here’s what’s going on with Eastlake restaurants:

Cocktail Week: According to the Seattle Times, the event, which started Thursday, Oct. 27 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 30, is organized by the Washington State Bartenders Guild. Participating restaurants and bars will be offering special cocktails and special drink prices. Eastlake participants are:

  • Cicchetti
  • Little Water Cantina
  • Ravish
  • Serafina

Ravish and Little Water were holding evening Thursday evening (7 p.m. at Ravish, 9:30 at Little Water). Little Water is featuring a Tequila Old Fashioned Seminar.

Eastlake’s official night to participate is Saturday. That night, Cicchetti will be featuring a Rinascita (gin, Martini Rossi Bianco, Amaro Nonino, lime juice and a Pernod rinse) and Serafina will have a Horace (scotch, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, crème de cassis and house-made chicory tincture).

Visit a participating bar and get your official Cocktail Week passport stamped.

Halloween: Two Eastlake establishments will be celebrating Halloween on Saturday:

  • Eastlake Zoo: Zero Gravity Circus (Are these guys the official Eastlake house band or what?) will perform. There will also be costume and pumpkin carving contests. Everything gets under way at 9 p.m.
  • Kristos Eastlake: Their Halloween Ball also begins at 9 p.m. They’ll have rotating DJs, drink specials and costume prizes.

Romio’s liquor license: Their liquor application is in the works and should be done in about a week, they say. They also have a new website, www.borsalinos.com, and are going to add live music, an expanded gluten-free menu, and homemade dough and sauces. The Romio’s neon sign is glowing once again at the restaurant.
