Tako Truk, the summer-only street-food eatery that operated out of the 14 Carrot Cafe’s kitchen two summers ago, is returning but this time in Madison Valley and only on Sundays.
Chef Cormac Mahoney and his business partner, Bryan Jarr, announced on the Tako Truk Facebook page Friday morning that they’ll be serving up Tako Truk favorites like coco piggy and tako taco at their new place, the Madison Park Conservatory, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. More dates to follow, they say.
The Truk served Mahoney’s adventurous take on street food (octopus tacos, smelt salad, beef tongue soup) Thursday through Saturday evenings in the summer of 2009. Mahoney and Jarr have since moved on to the Madison Park Conservatory, which rated a positive mention in New York Times’ food writer Frank Bruni’s recent article on Seattle restaurants.
