Sunset over the Olympics this evening.
The skies have been an odd orange color all day and the sunset was unusually intense tonight.
Meterologist Cliff Mass says the most likely culprits are forest fires in British Columbia (and probably Eastern Washington fires as well) that have pushed smoke into the atmosphere. You can read his blog post and see satellite images of the smoke here.
The photo of the sunset over the Olympics, with Fremont and Wallingford in the foreground, was taken from my deck on Franklin Ave. E.
