Happy New Years! Here’s what’s open in Eastlake on the holiday

UPDATE: This post has been updated since it was first published. A video on the Metro fare changes by Johnathon Fitzpatrick has been added.

Another week, another holiday. Here is the list of what businesses are open in Eastlake on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

The list shows what is open on each day. If I’ve missed your business, let me know and I’ll add you in. Or, if something has changed with your business’s hours, let me know. E-mail me at curtmilton (at) comcast.net.

Seattle Transit Watch – Concept Video from Johnathon Fitzpatrick on Vimeo.

BUSES:
Metro is on a reduced weekday schedule through New Year’s Eve. They’ll be running on a Sunday schedule on Friday, New Year’s Day. Check their holiday travel site to see how your bus route will be affected.

Also: Adult and senior/disabled fares go up 25 cents on New Year’s Day, the ORCA card officially replaces the region’s transit pases, and Metro’s paper transfers will only be accepted Metro’s buses.

Thanks to Johnathon Fitzpatrick for the video. Check his Twitter feed at twitter.com/jjtweets.

GARBAGE PICKUP:

No garbage collection on New Year’s Day. Friday collections will occur on Saturday. See our previous post for info on disposing of your Christmas tree.
